What Sub Rotation does
Sub Rotation helps coaches manage fair substitutions in children’s football matches. You set up teams and players, choose a starting lineup and keeper, and the app suggests rotations during the match based on playtime fairness and your rotation settings.
How Sub Rotation works
- On-device only: Teams, players, match settings, and live match state are stored on your device.
- No account required: The app does not create user accounts or require sign-in.
- No cloud sync: Match data is not uploaded to SimpDev servers.
Data stored on your device
Sub Rotation stores app data locally in private app storage, including:
- team names and player names you enter
- optional player settings (for example skill level)
- match setup defaults (field size, half length, stint/bench preferences, rotation mode)
- live/resume match snapshot (lineup, playtimes, substitution history, clock state)
- basic in-app preferences needed to run the match screen
Player names are only what you type in (for example first names for your squad). The app does not collect contact lists, photos, location, or data from other apps.
Permissions
- Notifications: used for live-match reminders (for example upcoming substitution suggestions)
- Foreground service: used so the match clock can keep running reliably while the screen is off during a live match
Sub Rotation does not currently request internet access for core match features.
Third-party services
Core match features run on your device and do not require SimpDev cloud services. If Google Play distribution or future optional sponsor/ad features are enabled, those are provided by Google Play / the relevant ad provider and are subject to their policies.
Sub Rotation does not sell your data to advertisers.
Children’s privacy
Sub Rotation is intended for coaches and parents managing children’s team rotations. The app does not provide public profiles, social feeds, chat, or child accounts. Any player names stored are entered by the coach/parent and kept on the device.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your team or match data for third-party advertising profiles.
Data retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Ending a match clears the active resume snapshot from local storage.
Delete your data
You can remove Sub Rotation data by:
- deleting teams/players in the app, and/or
- clearing app storage in Android system settings, and/or
- uninstalling the app
Because match and team data is stored only on device, uninstalling or clearing storage removes it from that device.
Security
We use platform-provided private app storage on your device. The app does not transmit team or match data to SimpDev servers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version. If the app later adds optional online features (for example ads), this policy will be updated to describe them.
